Ms. Lai Lai Win received the Best Poster Gift from ASAC 2019

 Ms. Lai Lai Win, first-year Integrated PhD student at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) under AUN/SEED-Net scholarship, received “Best POSTER Award” at IFAC ASEAN School of Advanced Control (ASAC 2019), Bangkok, Thailand.Her poster entitles “Immersive Virtual Reality Application of Engine Assembly and Disassembly to Enhance Learning Performance”. The aim of this work is to develop Virtual Reality application for engine components to evaluate the effectiveness in using immersive Virtual Reality for engine assembly and disassembly. The study focuses on VR implementation for education and evaluate students' perceive on the technology.

AUN/SEED-Net's secretariat, Ms. Siriboon and Ms. Normalina Jamaluddin, and her supervisor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Faieza Abdul Aziz, and Head of Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Associate Professor Dr. Zulkiflle b. Leman, and her supervisory members, Dr. Abdul Aziz bin Hairuddin, Assoc. Prof. Dr.  Lili Nurliyana bt Abdullah,  Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yap Hwa Jen, Prof. Hideo Saito and  research assistant,                        Dr. Norhisham Seyajah supported Ms. Lai to join ASAC 2019 workshop. The event was organised by IFAC Foundation, ECTI Association, Chulalongkorn University and CSS Thailand Chapter from Fundamental Theory to Robust and Networked Control Technologies towards Smart Cities. The main purpose of the ASAC2019 is to provide an opportunity for mainly graduate students, young lecturers and researchers in control engineering to raise the possibilities to create, promote or consolidate research and educational groups dealing with automatic control theory and technology in ASEAN countries.Her workshop expenses were sponsored by IFAC Foundation, ECTI Association, Chulalongkorn University and CSS Thailand Chapter. For record, Universiti Putra Malaysia received 4 students under this program.
