International Thought For Food Challenge

5 Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering students joined the international Thought For Food Challenge

Serdang: Five students from Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering take the challenge of generating new ideas to increase the production of food and to replace the costly and harmful chemicals in rice industry.

This Thought For Food (TFF) Challenge is a movement dedicated to tackling the global challenge of feeding 9+ billion people through bold, breakthrough solutions. TFF are comprised of some of the best and brightest minds of the next generation, driven by a desire to invigorate innovation and uproot the status quo.
Under the supervision of their lecturer, Dr. Samsuzana Abd Aziz; this group of student plans on reducing the yield loss due to pest and eliminate the usage of pesticide in paddy field. After submitting the requirements needed for this challenge, this group of students is currently waiting for the results of this competition. The top 10 are going to attend TFF Global Summit on May 24-27, 2017 in Amsterdam.
