UPM Serdang - July 11, a judging session for the Read@Uni Reading Corner took place from 10:45 am to 11:00 am at INSPERA Lounge, Faculty of Engineering, UPM. The judging panel was comprised of Ms. Rusniah Sayuti, Assistant Chief Librarian, Malaysia Agricultural Resources Division and Ms. Norshahilda Md Shahril, Deputy Registrar of Tun Dr. Ismail College.

The Read@Uni Reading Corner Award was introduced in 2019 as part of the Read@Uni UPM Reading Corner Competition Prize, and in 2022 it was renamed the Read@Uni UPM Reading Corner Award, with 5 winners receiving a prize of RM1,000 each according to their groups. Chairman of the Read@Uni Committee, Faculty of Engineering, UPM Assoc. Prof. Dr. Razif Harun, explained the reading corner concept to the judges based on evaluation criteria including creativity and innovation, activities, promotion, implementation impact, and space. Full support from the faculty management and staff had a positive impact on ensuring that the Read@Eng Reading Corner could benefit and foster a reading interest among customers and faculty staff.

Simultaneously, the Read@Eng "Want to be a Pro-Speaker?" Talk Program by Naim Hashim, SuriaFM News Presenter, was also held at INSPERA Lounge, Faculty of Engineering, UPM. The program featured a light, informative, and relaxed talk sharing format. The speaker shared experiences as a news presenter, voice-over artist for TV and radio commercials, and event host. Techniques for becoming a knowledgeable and versatile event host were also shared.

This program is one of the activities under the Read@Eng program currently managed by the Office of the Deputy Dean (Postgraduate & International), Faculty of Engineering, UPM.
