SERDANG, 4 October – The Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) launched a prestigious Smart Classroom called Thinker Space 2.0 as a result of a strategic collaboration with Steelcase Office Solutions (M) Sdn. Bhd.

UPM Vice Chancellor, YH. Dato' Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman said this collaboration and initiative is in line with one of the five main strategies in UPM's 2021-2025 direction, which is Smart Campus Trading and Digitization.

"The result of this development is not only in line with the empowerment of smart campuses and the National Digital Agenda, but makes UPM's Thinker Space 2.0 a prestigious smart classroom prototype for Public Universities (UA) in Malaysia," he said.
Thinker Space 2.0 was inaugurated by the Deputy Secretary General (Policy), Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (KPT), Dato' Dr. Megat Sany Megat Ahmad Supian here, today.

Meanwhile, the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UPM and Steelcase Office Solutions (M) Sdn Bhd was also held at the event and was witnessed by Dato' Dr. Divorce Sany.

The MoU signing session was conducted between the Vice Chancellor of UPM, YH. Dato' Professor Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman and UPM Faculty of Engineering Dean, Prof. Ir. Dr Mohd Khairol Anuar Mohd Ariffin representing UPM while Steelcase Office Solutions (M) Sdn Bhd. represented by Director, Product Engineering, Ir. Dr. Abdul Azim Abdul Rahman and Director of Supply Management, Dr. Suntheresan Ganapathy.

Meanwhile, Dato' Dr. Megat Sany also had the opportunity to tour around the UPM Faculty of Engineering including the Dean's office with YH. Dato' Professor Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman, UPM Deputy Vice Chancellor and UPM faculty deans.
