This year Shell Malaysia once again hosted the #ShellSelamatSampai Varsity Challenge competition and this year the entries are open to all institutions of higher learning ... A total of 70 entries were recorded when it opened in April. Participants are asked to provide suggestions and present in short 3-minute video. A screening session was held and a total of 20 teams were selected to continue the challenge from June 24, 2019 to August 16, 2019.
5 teams from UPM have been selected out of the 20 teams. Each group is given RM1000 to build the proposed project. and submit final reports in the form of videos and documents. The second judgment lists the 5 best projects and 2 of them are from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, UPM. The finals and finals were held from September 14-15 mydigitalmaker Fair 2019 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Center · Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
UPM's PROSS team led by Dr Hafiz Rashidi Ramli was selected for third place while ELRITZ led by Dr Samsul Bahari was selected fourth and at the same time being selected as the most favored project by the visitors. In conjunction with the launch of Shell Eco-Marathon Access Malaysia 2019 at Wisma Shell Cyberjaya, ELRITZ teams represented by Shahris B Suhaimi, Muhammad Syamil Aizat B Ahmad Zaidi, Norshalisa Alis Bt Zuremi, Nur Aina Nazihah Bt Mohamad and Nuraina Masturah Bt Mat Zelan were invited to exhibit their product called ADAS (Anti-Drowsiness Alert System).
