Faculty of Engineering Students Earn Recognition at UPM Vice Chancellor's Awards 2026

BANGI, 26 July – Students from the Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), once again brought pride to the faculty by receiving multiple recognitions at the 2026 Vice Chancellor's Awards (Anugerah Naib Canselor, ANC), held at Tenera Hotel & Suites, Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor.

The Vice Chancellor's Awards represent UPM's highest student recognition, presented to individuals who demonstrate outstanding holistic excellence in academics, leadership, co-curricular activities, and personal development. Beginning in 2025, the award officially resumed its original name, Vice Chancellor's Awards, to reinforce its identity and prestige.

Under the Volunteerism Cluster, Fakhrul Iman Md Said, a second-year Bachelor of Chemical and Environmental Engineering (Hons) student, was named the recipient of the Putra Community Service Award. Meanwhile, Muhammad Adham Aminudin, also a second-year student in the same programme, received the Putra Sports and Recreation Award under the Social Development Cluster.

The Faculty also celebrated the achievement of Muhammad Nur Hakimi Ah Kabri, a third-year Bachelor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Hons) student, who was selected as a finalist for the Putra Innovation Excellence Award. In addition, Muhammad Faris Zikry Mohd Noor Zairullah, a second-year Bachelor of Chemical and Environmental Engineering (Hons) student, was named a finalist for the Putra Heritage Arts Award.

Adding to the Faculty's success, the Faculty of Engineering Student Representative Council (PEMAJU) 2025/2026 was selected as a finalist for the Putra Leadership Synergy Award under the Special Team Cluster.

These achievements reflect the Faculty of Engineering students' excellence not only in academics but also in leadership, volunteerism, innovation, personal development, and co-curricular involvement. It is hoped that these accomplishments will inspire the entire Faculty community to continue making meaningful contributions to the University, society, and the nation.
