Collaboration Visit by Prof. Wang Yiping (Wuhan University of Technology)

Serdang, July 24 - The Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (KMP), Faculty of Engineering was honored to welcome Prof. Wang Yiping from the School of Automotive Engineering, Wuhan University of Technology for a strategic academic and research collaboration visit.

The highlights of the visit covers several sections such as the information below:

  • Meeting with department staff to discuss impactful academic and research collaboration opportunities.
  • Academic lecture by Prof. Wang Yiping at Thinker Space 1.0, attended by staff and students. The lecture, “Aerodynamics of Road Vehicles in Complex Road Conditions – Coupling Vehicle Dynamics to Aero”, explored transient aerodynamic characteristics, multi-physics coupling methods, and active control strategies for vehicle stability under crosswind conditions.

  • Facility tour to the Putra Motorsports Team (PMT) Room, featuring the Formula-style racing car developed by the team, followed by visits to the Thermodynamics Laboratory, Control Systems & Instrumentation Laboratory, and Dynamics & Vibration Laboratory.

This initiative is expected to open new avenues in academic and research activities while further strengthening KMP’s international network.
