UPM Serdang, 25 June 2025 – The Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), proudly organized the Engineering Career Development Day 2025 on Wednesday, 25 June 2025, at the faculty's main foyer. Running from 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM, the event served as a dynamic platform for engineering students to connect with industry professionals, explore internship and job opportunities, and gain valuable exposure to real-world career pathways.


This annual initiative attracted participation from ten renowned companies, including GS Paperboard & Packaging Sdn. Bhd., Seiko Wall Pte Ltd, B. Braun Medical Industries, Micron Memory Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad, SNA Consult Sdn Bhd, Wasco Process Engineering, Green Lagoon Techno.logy Sdn Bhd, MKR Hartamas Sdn Bhd. and Bridge Data Centres Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. Each company set up engaging exhibition booths, where students could inquire about job scopes, company culture, and career growth opportunities. Additionally, resume collection points were provided at all booths, encouraging students to submit their CVs for consideration.



One of the key highlights of the day was the walk-in interview session conducted by Seiko Wall Pte Ltd at Dewan Seminar, which enabled students to experience real-time job interviews and sharpen their employability skills.
In addition, students benefited from a series of CEO@PTJ Career Talks held at Thinker Space 2.0. Industry leaders from Maccaferri (10.00 AM – 11.00 AM) and Micron (2.00 PM – 4.00 PM) shared insights on engineering careers, industry expectations, and strategies for long-term success. These talks proved to be both inspiring and informative, encouraging students to align their academic journey with future industry demands.


To complement the professional atmosphere, food stalls were set up by Persatuan Mahasiswa Jurutera (PEMAJU) and Kelab Sukan & Sosial Fakulti Kejuruteraan (KSS) throughout the venue, contributing to a lively and welcoming environment.
The Engineering Career Development Day 2025 marked yet another successful milestone in UPM’s continuous effort to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry readiness. The event reinforced the university's commitment to nurturing employable, well-rounded graduates who are prepared to lead in their respective fields.
