ICAEMC2024 Sheds Light on Cutting-Edge Engineering Materials and Composites

SERDANG, May 21st - The crucial importance of advanced materials in tackling modern engineering hurdles, be it in aerospace, automotive, renewable energy, or healthcare, cannot be overstated. Advanced materials hold the key to unlocking breakthroughs in performance, efficiency, sustainability, and safety, thereby reshaping the landscape of technological innovation. The AEMC research group, under the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has organized the International Conference on Advanced Engineering Materials and Composites (ICAEMC 2024) on May 20-21, 2024 in the Faculty of Engineering of UPM.

The conference was chaired by Prof. Ir. Dr. Sapuan Salit and features 4 keynote speakers from local and overseas institutions including Prof. Dr. Yasir Nawab (National Textile University, Pakistan), Ir. Dr. Abdul Azim Abdul Rahman (Steelcase Office Solutions (M) Sdn Bhd, Malaysia), Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Saiful Amri Mazlan (Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia), and Dr. Agung Efriyo Hadi (Universitas Abulyatama Aceh, Indonesia). With the theme “Unveiling the Latest in Advanced Engineering Materials and Composites”, this international conference has brought together 63 speakers from various countries such as Indonesia, Pakistan, and Thailand delving into cutting-edge research areas related to advanced composite, biomaterials and bio-composites, metallurgy, and smart materials.

Beyond academic discourse, the conference serves as platform for attendees to forge invaluable connections, fostering international research collaborations and cultivating a robust professional network that transcends borders.
