Solar Plant houses 50MW Photovoltant

KUANTAN, 16 August - An industrial visit was organized for the students of Master of Environmental Engineering (MEE) and Master of Environmental Technology Management (METM) to Kuantan, Pahang on August 15-16, 2019. Students of Master of Process Safety and Loss Prevention (MPSLP) were also invited to participate in the visit. A total of 15 students along with 8 lecturers and an assistant engineer attended the visit. Students and staff were brought to visit the UiTM Solar Research Center in Gambang, which houses a 50MW photovoltaic solar plant and later visited the rare earth processing plant, Lynas Advanced Material Plant in Gebeng. Students also had the chance to experience batik painting at Natural Batik Village, Balok and were taken to turtle eggs hatchery site, Rimbun Dahan Turtle Hatchery at Pantai Chendor where they had the opportunity to release turtle hatchlings to the sea.
