20 Oct, 2014- A tutor from Department of Process and Food Engineering Universiti Putra Malaysia had won 1st runner-up in Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition 2014 organized by the Victoria University.

The competition which took place in the same University involved 10 more postgraduate students during the final stage. Zuhair had presented on "Love Pineapples, Filter the Waste".

The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is a research communication competition  with the aims to develops academic, presentation, and research communication skills and supports the development of research students' capacity to effectively explain their research in three minutes in a language appropriate to an intelligent but non-specialist audience.

The winner for this competition then will be selected to compete in the 3MT Trans-Tasman competition which involved all other universities in Australia and New Zealand.
