CENTER OF BIOMEDICAL IMAGING AND SENSORS (CBIS)

 

PENGENALAN

Center of Biomedical Imaging and Sensors (CBIS) adalah pusat yang mengkhususkan dalam bidang penyelidikan pelbagai disiplin yang melibatkan beberapa bidang kejuruteraan. Pusat ini berkisar mengenai aplikasi sains kejuruteraan dan teknologi ke bidang perubatan. Aplikasi ini digunakan unutk menyokong bidang sains perubatan dan biologi dalam meningkatkan penjagaan dan kesihatan, diagnosis, pemulihan dan rawatan. Pada zaman moden ini, kebimbangan mengenai penjagaan kesihatan semakin meningkat, dan orang semakin menyedari manfaat teknologi baru. Kajian utama pusat ini adalah memberi tumpuan kepada pemahaman, pembangunan dan penggunaan alat ukur, ukuran fisiologi, penggunaan isyarat, sensor dan analisis imej serta pemahaman dan pembelajaran masalah perubatan untuk memudahkan prognosis, diagnosis, pemulihan dan rawatan pesakit. Secara global, biomedical, pengimejan dan sensor telah menjadi bidang kajian penting kepada banyak universiti bertaraf dunia, beberapa universiti di Malaysia telah menubuhkan fakulti kejuruteraan biomedical untuk mengenal pasti teknologi terkini dengan penggunaan analisis imej dan sensor. Justeru itu, kini sudah tiba masanya untuk Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) mempromosikan PBPS, kerana pusat kami mempunyai kekuatan dan keteguhan, sebagai contoh UPM menpunyai fakulti perubatan sendiri banyak peralatan dan mempunyai hubungan antarabangsa dan tempatan yang sangat baik. Akhir kalam, manfaat penemuan baru dalam pusat penyelidikan ini dan pembagunannya akan menyumbang kepada inspirasi universiti dan negara.

 

VISI

Untuk menjadi pusat bagi peranti biomedical dan teknologi dengan kedudukan antarabangsa yang berprestij tinggi..

 

MISI

  • Untuk menjadi platform dalam semua penyelidikan kejuruteraan biomedikal.
  • Menjadi sebahagian daripada komuniti antarabangsa dalam bidang bioperubatan.
  • Melahirkan pakar bertaraf dunia dalam bidang penyelidikan masing-masing.
  • Untuk menghasilkan penemuan penyelidikan yang terkenal di peringkat antarabangsa.
  • Dapat mewujudkan rangkaian yang kuat dalam komuniti penyelidikan antarabangsa.
  • Menyumbang ke arah inspirasi universiti dan negara.
