Established in 2018, the System on Chip Research Center (SoCRC) at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has emerged as a leading institution dedicated to advancing the field of integrated chip design. Located within the Faculty of Engineering, the SoCRC serves as a focal point for cutting-edge research and development in the field.

Research Fields
Key Facilities
To support computationally intensive simulations and analyses, the research center maintains a high-performance computing cluster. This cluster allows researchers to perform complex simulations, optimize designs, and analyze large datasets related to SoC development.
The center provides dedicated IC design lab equipped with modern workstations and software tools for designing, simulating, and analyzing integrated circuits. These labs offer a conducive environment for researchers to develop and optimize SoC designs.
The research center provides a dedicated lab for system integration, where researchers can assemble and integrate various components of SoC designs into complete systems. This lab is equipped with equipment for system-level testing to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
The center is equipped with advanced testing and characterization equipment to evaluate the performance, functionality, and reliability of integrated chips. This includes specialized tools for electrical testing, signal analysis, power measurement, and an industry standard automatic test equipment.
The research center is equipped with FPGA prototyping boards, which enable researchers to validate and test their designs on programmable hardware platforms before manufacturing.
